For example, if your tweet is about lizards you can end your tweet with #iguanas. This hyperlinks that word in your tweet and allows people who also search that hashtag to see your tweet, even if you’re not following each other. You can include hashtags midsentence in your tweets, or randomly throw them in at the end. They can be multiple words strung together as well, such as “#Caribbeaninguanas”. They’re a great way to attract followers in the same niche!

- Retweets: These are a single tweet of anyone that you follow, simply retweeted by you. People typically do this is they particularly enjoy a tweet or its info pertains to their niche. It’s also a nice way of befriending potential associates, because they can see who has retweeted their tweets. Their tweet appears on your profile, retweeted and with their picture instead of yours. I personally think it’s a great way to add variety to your wall.

- Pictures: Even though you have never seen a picture accompanying a tweet, they are there. You tweet pictures via links through a Twitter service called TwitPics (http://www.twitpic.com). Upload a picture there and create a tweet instantly with it. The link will look something like “twitpic.com/r40f” and lead straight to your picture hosted on TwitPic.
